Gal 3:27 “for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Rom 13:14 “Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ” Luke 24:49 “stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
These verses convery the glorious truth of being clothed in Christ, covered by Him, fully immersed in Him and overshadowed by His power and life.
Here’s the rub: being clothed in Christ is not intended to be a theological concept but rather a daily living experience. The word “clothe” is an active verb, it’s something we do, not something we think about. Moment by moment we need His life, His energy, His Spirit’s presence, His wisdom, His radiant love, His inner peace and His optimistic hope. And we get all of that by clothing ourselves in Him. By faith, and by connecting our hearts to Him freshly, we stay clothed all day long.
Gal 2:20 “I no longer, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
